Baku to host international conference on freedom of speech and press in Azerbaijan in the context of local and international laws

Mr. Nazimoglu noted that the aim of conference is to make debates on media situation of country and determine its new development strategy and accept it. Mr. Nazimoglu stated that this conference will differ from other conferences which held on media situation. Mr. Nazimoglu stressed that this conference will be held in the framework of â€œReality is Beliefâ€ project. Media specialists, chiefs of influential international organizations, popular journalists from 20 countries of the world, including Turkey, Germany, France, Russia, Spain, Jordan, Kazakhstan, and Latvia were invited to the conference. Aydan White, International Press Federation’s Secretary General, Johann Fritz, director of International Press Institution, Sofia Lopina, director of International Foundation for Protection of Freedom of Speech, Marica Lilimens, President of Estonian Journalists Union, Philipp Voyts, Ombudsman for Belgium Press, Sederika Prinar, representative of Article-19 International Organization, Nezmi Bilgin, Turkish Journalists’ Association Chairman Nazmi Bilgin , Sevolot Bogdonov, head of Russian Journalists Union, Pavel Gutiontov, secretary of Russian Journalist Union attended the conference. /APA/
