IRNA director: We intend to broaden cooperation with information agencies of Azerbaijan

The director of the Agency Seyyid Jalal Fayyazi gave thorough information about the activity of IRNA. He stated that the Agency was established 73 years ago, and issues nearly 2000 news in Persian, English, Russian, Arabic, French, Turkish, Spanish, Serbian and Chinese. The Agency has 30 bureaus in the country and 900 journalists abroad. IRNA exchanges information and photos with 50 Agencies of the world. Nearly 4 million people enter the website of the Agency broadcasting political, economic, cultural news.
The director replying to the question on Agency’s broadcasting less news about Western countries, as well as US stated that US government did not allow them to open representation of the Agency in Washington.
“We could only take a place in 25th km of New York,” he said.
Fayyazi replying to APA’s correspondent’s question on the relations of IRNA with Azerbaijani agencies said that they exchange information with AzerTaj State Agency of Azerbaijan and use news of other agencies. He stressed that they intend further to broaden cooperation with information agencies of Azerbaijan. /APA/
