Eynulla Fetullayev sentenced to 8 years and six months in jail - <font color=red>UPDATED</font>

The court sentenced Eynulla Fetullayev to 8 years and six months in jail.
The court also passed a decision on confiscating 23 computers of Gundalik Azerbaijan and Realny Azerbaijan newspapers.
Eynulla Fetullayev’s lawyers Isakhan Ashurov and Aydin Nazarli said the verdict is unjust. The lawyers said that they will appeal to European Court of Human Rights after appealing to the courts of highest resort in Azerbaijan.
Rights defenders Arzu Abdullayeva, Novella Jafaroglu, Saida Gojamanli and Saadat Benenyarli, who gathered outside the court, protested to the verdict. The rights defenders said they will appeal to international organizations with this regard.
National Security Ministry Head Investigation Department brought charges against Eynulla Fetullayev under articles 214.1 (terror threat), 283.2.2 (stirring up national, racial, social or religious enmity) and 213.2.2 (Evasion from payment of taxes with extraction in large amount of income) of the criminal code. /APA/
