Decision to be made on transmission of RTR-Planeta in Azerbaijan and frequency of STV

Debates on transmission of Azerbaijani TV-radio programs in Russia and vice-versa will be carried out at the meeting of National Television and Radio Council (NTRC), NTRC told the APA.
Russiaâ€™s corresponding bodies has not adopted any decision on transmission of Azerbaijani TV channels in Russia, and the Council will take a step not depending on debates. Work on intergovernmental agreement project on the rules and terms of transmission of Azerbaijani TV-radio programs in Russia and vice-versa. Next meetings should be held in Moscow on technical agreement due to the agreement concluded at the meeting of working groups held in Baku on July 23 and signing of agreement should be debated. The project envisages transmission of RTR in Azerbaijan and Az.TV channel in Russia on parity.
NTRC told results of competition announced for frequency of Turkish Samanyolu TV channel will be debated at the meeting tomorrow and new owner of the frequency will be known.
Khazar TV, Antenn TV (Antenn FM radioâ€™s founders) and ETV (Science TV) appealed for frequency. /APA/
