Eynulla Fetullayev appeals for pardoning

Nazarli said that the investigation materials on articles 214.1 (terror threat), 283.2.2 (stirring up national, racial, social, or religious enmity) and 213.2.2 (tax evasion) of the criminal code will be soon be submitted to the court. The lawyer noted that the defenceâ€™s petition on forged evidences has not been considered yet.
Aydin Nazarli said he is unaware about Eynulla Fetullayevâ€™s appealing to president for pardoning.
â€œAs a person meeting Eynulla I am unaware of it,â€ he said.
Eynulla Fetullayevâ€™s father Emin Fetullayev also told APA that he is unaware about it.
â€œHis mother appealed for his pardoning a few months ago. But I can nothing about my sonâ€™s appeal. If Eynulla has done this, he is right,â€ he said.
Eynulla Fetullayevâ€™s other lawyer Isakhan Ashurov told APA that his client appealed for pardoning four days ago.
Member of the Pardon Commission Azay Guliyev told APA that he knows nothing about Eynulla Fetullayevâ€™s appeal.
Another member of the Pardon Commission who wanted to be anonymous confirmed that Eynulla Fetullayev appealed for pardoning.
Yeni Musavat newspaper reported about Fetullayevâ€™s appeal quoting Isakhan Ashurov.
National Security Ministry launched criminal case on Eynulla Fetullayev on articles 214.1 (terror threat), 283.2.2 (stirring up national, racial, social, or religious enmity) and later 213.2.2 (tax evasion) of the criminal code in May this year. Investigation has recently come to an end. /APA/
