Repair works are being carried out on the M2 Baku-Alat-Gazakh-State Border with Georgia highway, which is part of the Great Silk Road, APA-Economics reports.
The major repair works cover the 15–117 km section of the M2 highway.
According to the information, repair works are currently being carried out on the 97.7 km to 104.5 km section of the road. Within this framework, excavation and embankment works are being conducted in necessary areas for the construction of a new roadbed, and the deformed top layer of the old asphalt-concrete pavement is being milled and removed. In accordance with the technological sequence, new asphalt-concrete pavement, including the wearing course, will be laid, and horizontal marking lines will be applied to ensure proper traffic flow.
