In January-June of this year, Azerbaijan's revenue from air cargo and passenger transportation amounted to 1,978,050.3 thousand manat, which is 9.6% less than the indicator for the corresponding period of 2024 (2,187,609.8 thousand manat), APA-Economics reports, citing based on calculations conducted by the State Statistical Committee.
In the first quarter of this year, revenue from air cargo transportation amounted to 1,108,646 manat, which is 13.9% less than the previous year.
The main volume of the mentioned revenues (1,108,113.6 thousand manat) fell on international cargo transportation, and the remaining part (532.4 thousand manat) fell on domestic cargo transportation. These indicators decreased by 13.9% and 23.4%, respectively, compared to the previous year.
During the reporting period, the revenue from passenger transportation by air amounted to 869,404.3 manat, which is 3.4% less than in annual terms. The main share of revenues fell on the share of international passenger transportation - 831,301.1 manat (a decrease of 4.6%), and on the share of domestic transportation - 38,103.3 manat (an increase of 34.5%).
It should be noted that in the first half of the current year, the volume of cargo transportation by air amounted to 187.6 thousand tons (a decrease of 10.5%), and the volume of passenger transportation amounted to 1,861.1 thousand people (an increase of 2.6%).
