Bakcell installs 45 new base stations in November

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s mobile operator Bakcell announced the installation of 45 new base stations in November.
The company said 17 stations were installed in Baku and 28 in Masalli, Lenkeran, Astara, Gusar, Saatli, imishli, Oghuz, Sheki and Gakh.
Besides, Bakcell is paying attention to the improvement of its service availability across Baku-Shamakhi Highway.
The company plans to achieve 100% coverage area in the country in 2009.
“We installed 105 new base stations in August-October to increase the quality of our service. We plan to make our service available across the entire country,” the company told APA-Economics.
Bakcell added that the increase of the coverage area will ultimately increase the subscriber base.
Bakcell has been in operation since 1996. It services 1.2 million subscribers.
