A Ukrainian woman suspected of trafficking human organs has been extradited from Poland to Kazakhstan, APA reports, citing Kazakh media.
According to the information, from July 2017 to January 2019, the Ukrainian woman illegally purchased human kidneys in Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Thailand, and Uzbekistan for sale on the black market.
The Ukrainian citizen had been on an international wanted list for five years and was recently detained by chance in Poland. A Kazakh court sentenced the 35-year-old woman in absentia to 12 years in prison.
