The Yekaterinburg court has extended the detention of Shahin Shikhlinski, head of the Azerbaijani diaspora in the Urals, by five months, APA’s Russia bureau reports.
The Kirov District Court of Yekaterinburg has issued a decision to extend the detention of Shahin Shikhlinski, head of the Azerbaijani diaspora in the Urals, the Safarovs, and other Azerbaijanis until May 31, 2026.
They will remain in the pre-trial detention facility until that date. The court hearing on the selection of jury members in the criminal case of Shikhlinski and other Azerbaijanis will be held on January 15, 2026.
