Operations aimed at preventing the illegal circulation of narcotic substances are ongoing by officers of the Main Directorate for Combating Drugs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs told APA.
During the next measures carried out in the capital and regions, previously convicted individuals Saddam Asadov, Emin Balakishiyev, and Emin Aliyev were detained. A total of 47 kilograms of marijuana mixed with harmful substances and the psychotropic substance methamphetamine were seized from them.
It was established that the detainees had entered into criminal contact with Iranian citizens whose identities are under investigation, obtained narcotic substances from them, and planned to place the drugs at pre-designated locations for sale.
A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the incident, and by court decision, a preventive measure of arrest has been imposed on the detained individuals. Operational and investigative measures are ongoing.
