During January–November 2025, 85 foreign citizens were prosecuted for drug trafficking, APA reports, citing the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking.
A total of 936 kg, 501.249 grams of various types of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as 271.772 grams of cannabis plants, were seized from them.
Law enforcement agencies identified 231 cases related to the smuggling of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances into the country, and under these cases, narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances with a total weight of 3 tons 847 kg 095.152 grams, along with 15,516 methadone tablets, 13,194 tablets, and 5.7 grams of potent substances, were removed from illegal circulation.
Overall, 274 of the detected crimes were committed in an organized group manner, and under these cases, narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances weighing 2 tons, 658 kg, 377.574 grams, as well as 309 kg 436.2 grams of potent substances, were confiscated from illegal circulation.
