Supreme Court doesnâ€™t sustain appeal of April 2 detainees

APA reports that the cassation appeals of Sahib Karimov, Babek Hasanov and Elshan Hasanov and Elnur Israfilov were not sustained at the process led by Judge Farman Karimov. The Supreme Court upheld the Baku Court of Appealâ€™s sentence.

Note that Sabail District Court sentenced Sahib Karimov and Elshan Hasanov to 2-years imprisonment, Babak Hasanov to 1 year and 6 months imprisonment, Elnur Israfilov to 2 years and 6 months imprisonment. The Court also sentenced the accused to pay out the damage in the size of AZN 6,650.

Then Israfilov was pardoned. The Court sustained the appeal of Elshan Hasanov on the early release. Sahib Karimov and Babek Hasanov, who appealed the Supreme Court, are in prison.
