Bakhtiyar Hajiyev addresses Azerbaijani President due to his release

The group told APA that during the meeting Hajiyev said he addressed President Ilham Aliyev several days ago: â€œI addressed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for considering the issue on my releaseâ€.

The letter reads: â€œDear Mr. President! I have always wished the establishment of democratic and legal state in Azerbaijan, increase of work and education opportunities for our youth. I was gratified by the works done in this direction, the achieved international successes and estimated them. I love my country and people and no foreign interest and political ambition can be superior to this love. Mr. President, I think that I can be more useful not as a prisoner, but as a free young person who works for the continuous and sustainable development of his country. In this respect, I ask You to consider the issue of my releaseâ€.

Hajiyev was arrested in March next year, was accused of Criminal Codeâ€™s article â„–321.1 and sentenced to 2-years imprisonment.
