Ministry of National Security revealed people smuggling drug from Iran to Azerbaijan

Baku â€“ APA. As a result of operations, the Ministry of National Security revealed the people smuggling drug from Iran to Azerbaijan. More than 9 kg 700 gram narcotic substances were found and seized. Public Relations Center of the Ministry of National Security told APA that Rahimov Malik Yelmar, Heydarov Soltan Ahmed, Alishov Ilgar Hamdulla, citizen of Iran, Aziz whose name is being investigated and the others got a great amount of narcotic substances in Iran for selling and illegally brought it from Iran to Azerbaijan. Members of the group were arrested; more than 2 kg 600 gram heroin were found and seized from them.

As a result of the other operations by the Ministry of National Security, citizens of Azerbaijani Republic Karimov Elmaddin Shamsaddin and Guliyev Elkhan Gulu were detained. They smuggled jointly great amount of narcotic substances.

As a result of the other operations by the Ministry of National Security, the citizens of Azerbaijani Republic Guliyev Yusif Rufat, Feyziyev Zafar Aghamirza and Zeynalov Sadiradin Hamit were detained. They together with others smuggled jointly in a great amount of narcotic substances.

Investigation Department of the Ministry of National Security has launched criminal case into the facts under the Criminal Codes article â„– 206.3.2(on preliminary arrangement by group of persons), 234.4.1 and 234.4.3 (Illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation, transfer or selling of narcotics, psychotropic substances). The above-mention people were sentenced to pretrial detention by the orders of court. The investigation is being continued.
