The pardon order concerned totally 62 people. 55 prisoners were released from the remained part of the term of imprisonment, 6 – from the pecuniary penalty, one – from the correctional work.
Three of the pardoned persons are the citizens of Georgia.
60 men and two women were pardoned.
Two members of the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party – Ruslan Bashirov and Elnur Israfilov were also among the pardoned. Both asked the President of Azerbaijan to pardon them.
