Khadija Ismayilova invited to prosecutorâ€™s office for testimony

Spokesperson for the General Prosecutorâ€™s Office Eldar Sultanov told APA that some newspapers and Khadija Ismayilova herself said that the criminal investigation into the fact of violation of the right to privacy was launched behind time.

Sultanov said that the Ismayilovaâ€™s complaint was received by the General Prosecutorâ€™s Office on March 14 and on the same day the Prosecutor General gave concrete instruction to investigate the issues described by the complaint. According to the similar complaint by Ismayilova to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the ministry collected and sent the investigative materials on March 15, on the basis of which, the prosecutorâ€™s office launched criminal investigation under the article 156 of the Criminal Code.

Baku City Prosecutorâ€™s Office is investigating the issue. Khadija Ismayilova has been invited today to the prosecutorâ€™s office for testimony.
