According to information, the criminal investigation has been launched by the General Prosecutor’s Office in accordance with the Criminal Code’s article №156 (violation of the right to privacy) on the basis of the investigative materials sent by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Baku city Prosecutor’s Office was instructed to carry out the investigation on the case.
On March 7, Khadija Ismayilova received a letter threatened and blackmailed her. The letter contained intimate photos and threats. On March 14, video related to Khadija Ismayilova’s private life was released on the internet.
