Azerbaijani ambassador to Turkey speaks about causes of pilgrims’ bus crash in Sivas – <font color=red>EXCLUSIVE</font>

Baku. Parvin Abbasov – APA. Rainy weather condition caused a bus crash in Sivas, Turkey as its driver lost the control. The bus turned over killing five Azerbaijani pilgrims returned from Hajj. 29 others were injured, including seven seriously injured. Azerbaijani ambassador to Turkey Faig Bagirov told APA about the causes of the bus crash. He said no criminal investigation was launched.

The ambassador said he is on a way to Sivas and would be there in an hour. He said local officials of Sivas province of Turkey took all measures to assist the sufferers. “Rescue brigades were working for three-four hours in difficult conditions. All injured persons were hospitalized. Governorship of Sivas, other organizations, as well as officials from nearby provinces also showed their assistances”.

The Azerbaijani bus carrying Hajj pilgrims crashed in Sivas, Turkey on November 23. Five people were killed and 29 injured.
