Azerbaijani prisoner pardoned by Georgian president dies in jail

Minister for Sentence Execution and Legal Support Khatuna Kalmakhelidze said 12 women and one minor were among the pardoned prisoners. 182 of 220 prisoners were pardoned fully and term of other prisoners was reduced. Conditions sentence for three prisoners were annulled, said Kalmakhelidze and added that they will begin release of pardoned prisoners after receiving appropriate document from the Presidential Administration.

Chairperson of the Pardon Commission Elena Tevdoradze told APA that release of pardoned prisoners was started at 15.00 on Tuesday. She said there were Azerbaijanis among the pardoned prisoners and one of them suddenly died in jail before his releasing.
