Jeyhun Bayramov: TRIPP initiative will expand regional transit networks

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov addressed the 25th Annual Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry said on X, APA reports.

Bayramov emphasized that through long-term strategic investments and sustained regional partnerships, Azerbaijan has successfully transformed its landlocked geographical position into a major logistics, transit and energy hub connecting the East-West and North-South corridors.

The minister highlighted the importance of digitalizing transit, simplifying customs procedures and developing integrated energy and digital connectivity projects, including the Central Asia-Azerbaijan Green Energy Corridor.

He noted that integrating transport, energy and digital infrastructure contributes to building a more resilient global trade architecture.

Stressing that peace is a prerequisite for sustainable connectivity, Bayramov pointed to the agreements reached between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington on August 8, 2025, as well as the TRIPP initiative, which he said would expand regional and global transit networks.
