As a key and important spending priority of the government, expenditure on further strengthening defense and national security will, as always, be among the largest expenditures in the state budget, Prime Minister Ali Asadov said during discussions at the Cabinet of Ministers on the “draft state and consolidated budgets for 2027, consolidated budget indicators for the next three years and socio-economic development forecasts,” APA reports.
The Prime Minister said that defense and national security expenditures in next year’s state budget will amount to AZN 8.8 billion, accounting for 21% of total expenditures.
