Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in New York on Thursday, as Islamabad intensifies efforts to keep diplomacy between Iran and the US from collapsing, APA reports.
In the meeting, Sharif expressed deep concern over the prolonged Iran-US conflict and stressed the need for restraint, his office said.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also attending the meeting.
