“Today, while advancing a consistent peace agenda aimed at strengthening sustainable peace and stability in the region, Azerbaijan continues to keep the restoration of the liberated territories, the Great Return, economic diversification, and the country’s long-term development among its key priorities,” Prime Minister Ali Asadov said during discussions at the Cabinet of Ministers on the “Draft state and consolidated budgets for 2027, consolidated budget indicators for the next three years, and socio-economic development forecasts,” APA reports.
The Prime Minister said that the next medium-term period covering 2027–2030 is shaping new strategic challenges and targets for the country amid complex geopolitical and economic processes taking place in the region and global development trends.
“These circumstances make it necessary to efficiently use existing opportunities and further strengthen preparedness for possible risks in the coming period, taking into account the priorities of state policy. Effective budgetary and fiscal policy plays an important role in implementing these tasks. In the coming period, the proper allocation of financial resources to key priorities, maintaining socio-economic stability and achieving strategic development targets are among the main conditions. This approach requires financial planning to be closely aligned with the country’s long-term development priorities and the strategic documents currently being implemented,” Ali Asadov said.
