China and the United States are great countries, and the Chinese and American peoples are great peoples, President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping said during his speech at the White House, APA reports.
He said that, at the invitation of President Donald Trump, he had come to the United States to continue friendship, expand cooperation and promote the well-being of both peoples.
“At a time when our world is facing changes of historic significance, China and the United States, as two major countries, bear a historic responsibility to promote human development and progress,” Xi Jinping emphasized.
