Georgian Interior Minister Sulkhan Tamazashvili has met with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev, APA’s local bureau reports, citing the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During the meeting, the Georgian Interior Minister briefed the diplomat on the ministry’s priority areas and ongoing reforms.
The sides emphasized the importance of the close and friendly relations between the two countries, paying particular attention to effective cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Azerbaijan.
The prospects for future relations were also discussed, and the sides expressed their readiness to actively continue cooperation in various areas.
At the end of the meeting, the sides stressed that the partnership in the field of law enforcement would be further deepened through joint efforts.
