Relations between Armenia and Russia are undergoing a period of transformation, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during his speech at the UN General Assembly, APA reports.
According to him, the changes are primarily linked to the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“Our relations with Russia are undergoing a period of transformation, and this is a natural process. In the previous period, the most important factor influencing relations between Armenia and Russia was the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict. Now that we have achieved peace with Azerbaijan, relations between Armenia and Russia will naturally change as well. Our desire is for these relations to develop on the principles of friendship and mutual respect,” Pashinyan said.
