The European Union's Special Representative (EUSR) for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Magdalena Grono, has held discussions in Ankara regarding the South Caucasus, Grono said in a post on social media, APA reports.
She described her visit to Ankara as positive and expressed gratitude to her counterparts in Türkiye for open and constructive exchanges on South Caucasus and regional topics, including Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization, conflict-related issues in Georgia and Türkiye-Armenia normalisation.
In addition to political matters, the parties explored opportunities for connectivity and regional cooperation. According to Grono, these initiatives could benefit the South Caucasus countries, Türkiye, Central Asia, and the EU.
"In the context of increasing global challenges, it is crucial to redouble efforts for progress towards regional stability, security, and sustainable peace," Grono emphasized.
