Archaeological finds believed to belong to an ancient settlement have been discovered during road construction in Jalilabad district, APA’s southern bureau reports.
Pottery vessels and various jars were uncovered beneath the soil layer while road construction work was being carried out in the territory of Aghdash village in the district.
According to preliminary assumptions, the discovered jars were mainly vessels used in everyday life.
Based on experts’ assessment, the finds are believed to date back to the Late Bronze–Early Iron Age.
The relevant authorities have already been informed about the discovered archaeological finds. Further research is expected to be carried out in the area to determine the exact date of the finds.
