“Georgia has very close relations with Azerbaijan and Armenia,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists, APA’s local bureau reports.

Kobakhidze said that Georgia pays maximum attention to strengthening relations with neighboring countries.

“In just the past few months, I have made three state visits to Central Asian countries, and two heads of state from Central Asian countries have visited Georgia. Expanding political and economic relations is a key priority for us,” Kobakhidze added.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Georgia’s foreign policy is aimed at making maximum use of the country’s strategic geographical position.

“Georgia has free trade agreements with many countries. We derive great benefits from this. Freight turnover along the Middle Corridor is also increasing. Since 2020, freight turnover along the route has increased approximately sevenfold,” Kobakhidze noted.
