Talks between Iran and Oman have reached the final stage, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said at a press conference today, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.
According to him, talks between Iran and Oman on identifying safe routes in the Strait of Hormuz have gone well: “If you have observed certain ups and downs at some points, the main part of this should be attributed to the interference of some third parties. Such interference has usually hindered the negotiation process,” he noted.
Baghaei noted that it can be said that talks between Iran and Oman have reached the final stage.
He emphasized that an agreement expected to be reached between Iran and Oman in the coming days on identifying a temporary safe route in the Strait of Hormuz is expected to be registered with the International Maritime Organization.
“I hope that some ill-intentioned parties will once again refrain from interfering in this process and allow it to proceed in a logical and appropriate manner,” Baghaei added.
