Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump may hold a phone conversation following visits by American negotiators to Moscow and Kyiv, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, Russia does not rule out the resumption of trilateral talks on Ukraine.
The Kremlin spokesperson said that Russia highly appreciates US peace efforts and that Putin personally expressed his gratitude to Trump for his commitment to peace.
Peskov did not disclose how the proposals made by the US envoys during their meeting with Putin differed from the “Anchorage formula.”
He also noted that the Kremlin does not yet have information on the results of the American negotiators’ contacts with the Ukrainian side.
