American negotiators told their European partners that Russia is ready to resume talks with Ukraine after the State Duma elections in September, the Élysée Palace stated, APA reports citing Le Figaro.
During meetings in Kyiv on Sunday, September 6, US negotiators informed representatives of European countries about "Russia’s renewed readiness for negotiations."
According to the French side, this could involve the resumption of the negotiation process after elections to the lower house of the Russian parliament.
"The Americans told us that Russia is once again ready to negotiate after the elections to the Duma and that, in this context, we should prepare for a new stage of negotiations," the French presidential administration said during a telephone briefing with journalists.
