The official foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) increased in the first eight months of 2026, APA-Economics reports, citing the CBA.
As of August 31, the Central Bank’s official foreign exchange reserves amounted to $15.3 billion.
At the end of last year, this figure stood at $11.5 billion. Thus, foreign exchange reserves have increased by $3.8 billion, or 32.9%, since the beginning of the year.
At the end of August 2025, the CBA’s official foreign exchange reserves amounted to $11.2 billion. On an annual basis, the reserves increased by $4.1 billion, or 36%.
Note that the Central Bank’s foreign exchange reserves stood at $13.8 billion at the end of July. Thus, in August alone, the reserves increased by approximately $1.5 billion, or 11.1%.
