Man City top of Premier League as Haaland's winner relegates Burnley

Manchester City beat Burnley 1-0 away in an English Premier League match to move into first place in the standings, APA reports.

Erling Haaland scored the goal in the 5th minute.

Manchester City has 70 points, the same as Arsenal. The teams have an identical goal difference (+37). Manchester City leads their opponents thanks to the highest number of away goals. Both clubs have five games left in the league.

Burnley has lost its chance to remain in the Premier League. The team has 20 points and sits in second-to-last place, 19th. Wolverhampton Wanderers also lost their chance to stay in the top flight.

Manchester City's next league match is away to Everton on May 4. Burnley will play Leeds on May 1.
