Galatasaray officially secured their 25th Turkish Super Lig title on Sunday with a 3-0 victory over Kayserispor, clinching the championship with two weeks remaining in the season, APA reports citing Türkiye Today.
With this historic achievement, the yellow-reds became the first team in Turkish football history to earn the right to display a fifth star on their jerseys.
Victor Osimhen opened the scoring in the 26th minute, heading the ball into the net after a well-placed corner. Just two minutes later, in the 28th minute, Baris Alper Yilmaz doubled the lead with a precise shot past the goalkeeper.
