“Tajikistan is a landlocked country, so the development of trade routes is of particular importance,” Tajikistan’s Minister of Economic Development and Trade Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda said during the panel titled “Shaping the Future of Global Growth, Investment and Connectivity” at the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, APA reports.
He said that for this reason, the country is expanding its trade relations with Central Asia, China and other countries.
“Tajikistan is continuously expanding its economic ties. For Tajikistan, international cooperation is not only about overcoming existing challenges,” he said.
The Minister said that Tajikistan is diversifying its foreign economic relations and seeking to expand the range of its trade and investment partners.
“We are open to new partnerships and joint investment projects, as well as expanding ties in trade, transport, energy, the digital economy and industrial cooperation. The main goal is not only to adapt to global economic changes but also to use these changes to accelerate Tajikistan’s economic transformation, enhance its competitiveness and ensure sustainable economic growth,” he said.
