Mircea Lucescu has suffered a heart attack – just days after stepping down as Romania’s boss, The Sun reports.
The legendary chief, 80, was rushed to the hospital after collapsing during a team meeting last week.
Lucescu decided to walk away from the job following the worrying health scare.
And the former Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kyiv head coach was left fighting for his life when he suffered a heart attack this morning.
He was dashed to the intensive care unit with high blood pressure and was then transported to the cardiology department at the Emergency University Hospital in Bucharest.
Lucescu has been described as stable and he will remain under supervision.
