French club Paris Saint-Germain, which features Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, will play Germany's Bayern Munich in the Champions League semifinals, APA reports.
On Wednesday, Bayern Munich defeated Real Madrid 4-3 in the quarterfinal return leg. The first leg also ended in a 2-1 victory for the Munich team. Earlier, TASS reported that PSG defeated Liverpool 2-0 in the quarterfinal return leg, while the first leg ended with the same score in favor of the French team. The first leg of the PSG-Bayern clash will take place on April 28 in Paris, with the return leg on May 6 in Munich.
The other semifinal will feature Spanish side Atlético Madrid and English side Arsenal. Atlético Madrid defeated Spanish side Barcelona 2-0, 1-2 on aggregate, while Arsenal beat Portuguese side Sporting CP 1-0, 0-0. The first leg will be played on April 29 in Madrid, with the return leg on May 5 in London.
The Champions League final will take place on May 30 in Budapest. The reigning champions, PSG, defeated Italian club Inter 5-0 in the final.
