32 detained in Türkiye over betting and match-fixing probe in football

As part of investigations into betting and match-fixing in Turkish football, operations were carried out at 33 addresses, APA reports, citing NTV.

Within the framework of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, 32 suspects were detained during the latest operations, while the search for one individual is ongoing.

During the investigation involving executives of football clubs competing in professional leagues, 33 suspects were identified as having betting accounts and placing bets—particularly on opposing teams during matches played between the teams they managed and other clubs.
