Umid Davala thank Fariz Yusifov

â€œI met with famous player Umid Davala during Turkey visit. He came up to me and thanked for my managementâ€, Azeri FIFA referee Fariz Yusifov who conducted Turkey â€“ Switzerland U-17 match told APA-Sport.
Yusifov noted that he hadnâ€™t met with Davala by accident.
â€œDavala has been working assistant coach in U-21 squad after giving up his career as a player. The match ended 2-1 with Turkeyâ€™s victory. All three goals were scored in the first half. The game was very tense as both parties struggled to win though it was a friendly encounter. But there was no aggressive performance in the match in Antalyaspor club stadium. I didnâ€™t show card in the match. Turkish FIFA referee Kurdussi Muftuoglu was a substitutive refereeâ€, he said.
The teams met first time after the brawl in Istanbul in 2005. Yusifov stated that they had discussion after the match.
Yusifov hasnâ€™t conducted an official encounter though he is FIFA referee for a year. He informed the UEFA Refereesâ€™ Committee about his conduct the friendly.
â€œI am grateful to the AFFA Refereesâ€™ Committee for giving me an opportunity to conduct an international friendly match. It was not hard to conduct the encounter. Turkey football figures approving my conduct were interested in me. I have sent the report to the UEFA and now waiting for new appointmentâ€, he said. /APA-Sport/
