Genjlerbirliyi may miss match with Khezer-Lenkeran

Genjlerbirliyi may miss the match against Khezer-Lenkeran scheduled for April 3 in Lenkeran in the next round of Azerbaijani championship, teamâ€™s press secretary Ferhad Hesenov told APA-Sport.
He stated that the team is likely not to play because of some financial problem.
â€œClub president Ilgar Nuriyevâ€™s funds have finished. He told the players after he paid their salaries before Novruz holiday that the team may miss the match in Lenkeran because of financial problem. The visit expenditure is much and we need to arrive in the city a day before the match. We will probably miss the encounter if there is no positive changeâ€, he said.
Hesenov noted that they are going to appeal the AFFA on the issue. The press secretary stated they will inform the organization about the difficulties.
â€œWe should inform the AFFA about our problem. We will gain technical defeat if we miss the match. Thatâ€™s why we will ask the AFFA to postpone the encounter against Khezer-Lenkeran. If the AFFA rejects our request, we will ask not to impose financial sanctions on the clubâ€, he said. /APA-Sport/
