FFA secretary-general Armen Minasian: Our position on matches against Azerbaijan remains unchanged

“We haven’t changed our position on the matches against Azerbaijan. We ensure the security and announce once more that we want to meet Azerbaijan in Yerevan. Meanwhile, we are also ready to leave for Baku�, stated Armen Minasian, secretary-general of Football Federation of Armenia, APA-Sport reports.
He noted the place of encounters with Azeri squad in the frame of European championship qualifying will be determined on 12 April.
“Presidents and secretary-generals of the federations of both countries will discuss the issue on April 12 in Nyon, Switzerland. The UEFA Executive Committee will approve the decision of the meeting a few days later�, he said.
FFA official didn’t comment on the statement of UEFA President Michel Platini made during the Georgia visit.
“I don’t want to comment on Platini’s statement. Anyway, both federations have sent their proposals to the UEFA�, he said.
During his visit to Georgia, Platini had stated that Azerbaijan-Armenia match will take place in neutral field. /APA-Sport/
