AFFA gets UEFA and FIFA authorization for Branimir Subashich

The AFFA appealed to the FIFA and the UEFA in connection with Neftchiâ€™s Serbian forward Branimir Subashich who was included in national squad, head coach Shahin Diniyev told APA-Sport that international organizations had permitted to field Subashich in the national team of Azerbaijan. The coach said in their letters the FIFA and the UEFA had noted that forwardâ€™s participation in the national squad doesnâ€™t contradict the law.
â€œWe try to act by the law. We have appealed both organizations taking into consideration that some legionaries used to play in underage squads of their countries. They have permitted all legionaries as well as Subashich to play in the Azeri squad. Our team might be punished in the future if we hadnâ€™t solved the issue on legionariesâ€?, he said.
Two of 10 â€œnationalizedâ€? legionaries, namely Ukrainian Aleksandr Chertoganov and Serbian Branimir Subashich used to play in the underage squads of their countries. /APA-Sport/
