“I highly appreciated referee Clod Kitcher who conducted the return match between Alkmaar (Netherlands) and Fenerbahche (Turkey) in the UEFA Cup. He should be graded by 8.4 points�, FIFA referee-inspector Asim Khudiyev told APA-Sport.
He said he had concrete instructions at the two-day courses of EUFA Referees’ Committee in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
“10 referee-inspectors were given instructions on Alkmaar-Fenerbahche match in the courses. I was to value referee’s decisions on the discipline of players. The German referee showed five yellow cards- two to hosting team and three to visiting team. I think all cautions were right. I noted all marks in the report. Other referee-inspectors got acquainted with the report and supported me�, he said.
Khudiyev stated that he expects an appointment in March-April. /APA-Sport/
