Rivals of Azeri Olympic team in qualifying for European championship defined

The draw of the qualifying for the 2009 European under-21 football championship has been staged in Stockholm, Switzerland, APA-Sport reports.
Azerbaijani national squad will play against Italia, Croatia, Greece, Albania and the Faeroes in Group I. The other groups are as follows:
Group II: Czech Republic, Ukraine, Turkey, Armenia, Lichtenstein.
Group III: Portugal, England, Bulgaria, Ireland, Montenegro.
Group IV: Spain, Russia, Poland, Georgia, Kazakhstan.
Group V: Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway, Macedonia, Estonia.
Group VI: Denmark, Slovenia, Lithuania, Finland, Scotland.
Group VII: Belgium, Slovakia, Iceland, Austria, South Cyprus.
Group VIII: Serbia, Hungary, Belarus, Latvia, San-Marino.
Group IX: Germany, Israel, Moldova, North Ireland, Luxembourg.
Group X: France, Rumania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Wales, Malta.
The qualifying matches will be held on June 2-3 and June 56, September 8-9 and September 11-12, October 13-14 and October 16-17, November 17-18 and November 20-21 in 2007, and September 6-7 and September 9-10 in 2008. Group winners and 4 other teams with best results will pass to the play-off. Play-off matches will be played on October 11-12 and October 14-15 in 2008. 7 best squads and Swiss team among 14 teams will pass to the final. /APA-Sport/
