FIFAâ€™s president: â€œWorld Cup in Azerbaijan is a preparation for more grandiose eventsâ€

Baku â€“ APA. â€œOrganizational activities in Azerbaijan are on the highest levelâ€ said the president of FIFA Josef Blather at the press conference on the Womenâ€™s World Cup among the girls under 17 in Baku, Apasport.az website reports.

Blather positively evaluated Azerbaijanâ€™s idea to host the European Cup 2020 together with Georgia: â€œAzerbaijan has also nominated its candidacy to host the Summer Olympic Games 2020 in Baku. In spite of Azerbaijan couldnâ€™t enter the short-list, it could gained enough vote, anyway this fact remains great for Azerbaijan. We have had a conversation with the President of Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan Rovnag Abdullayev on this issue this morning. Azerbaijan possesses great infrastructures and organizational activities. Womenâ€™s World Cup U 17 in Azerbaijan is a preparation for more grandiose eventsâ€.
