The Ukrainian Defense Forces have struck the production facilities of the Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant in the city of Azov in Russia’s Rostov region, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Defense Forces said, APA reports.
According to the information, a fire was recorded on the premises of the plant, which was struck with Ukrainian-made Neptune cruise missiles, while equipment in five production buildings was also damaged.
The Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant is part of Russia’s Tactical Missiles Corporation. The enterprise manufactures optical-mechanical and optoelectronic products, electronic systems for equipping artillery, missile and anti-tank weapons, as well as radar homing heads for tactical guided missiles.
