Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Saturday that Russia was not preparing to end the war, accusing President Vladimir Putin of repeatedly finding reasons to avoid talks and a proposed trilateral format, APA reports.
"Constantly, Putin finds some pretext not to meet, not to hold a trilateral format, not to talk, not to end and stop these killings," Zelenskyy said in a social media post.
He said the United States shared Ukraine's assessment and that Kyiv was working with Washington, Europe, Canada, Japan and other partners to increase pressure on Moscow. Zelenskyy said diplomatic activity would intensify in the coming days and in October.
