Türkiye has not approached Russia about moving the S-400 air defense systems abroad; this is impossible without Moscow's consent, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated this at a press conference following his participation in the high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, APA's correspondent in Moscow reports.
"We have not received such an appeal," the minister said in response to a question on the matter.
"Our Turkish friends are well aware that the S-400 systems were delivered under a contract that stipulates full compliance with the end-user certificate until the end of its life. They know full well that if they ever want to move these systems outside their borders, they cannot do so without our official consent," Lavrov explained.
